The 2014-2015 flu season certainly has been harsh, both in terms of severity of symptoms and number of people ill. It looks like the season peaked the last week in December with flu cases three times as high as the prior year. Flu activity still remains high, with current levels comparable to the peak of an average year.
Common flu symptoms this season have been fever (often high in both children and adults), intense headache, chills, lingering cough and fatigue. Due to the severity of this year’s flu, we are recommending that Triple Flu Defense is immediately taken three times per day if experiencing any symptoms.
The good news is that there are signs of slowing in some areas. While 40 states continue to report widespread flu cases, levels are lessening in a number of southern and mid-western states and Alaska and Hawaii.
