With life turned upside down, everyone is experiencing increased stress.
Stress releases hormones and triggers in our bodies that aggravate allergy symptoms. While stress is not a cause of allergies, it can worsen an allergic reaction by increasing histamine release. This means that stress and allergies are mutually reinforcing, each boosting the level of the other.
Allergies are another reason why it is so important to incorporate daily activities to manage stress levels at this time.
“Thank you for all the good work you do.
I sing praises to everyone I know.”

The Coronavirus Aid Relief Economic Security Act (CARES) was signed into law in March. As part of this legislation, consumers can now receive reimbursement for OTC (over-the-counter) medicines using pre-tax Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). OTC drugs, including homeopathic OTC products, are eligible without the necessity of a prescription from a healthcare professional.
Furthermore, for the first time, expenses for menstrual care products are added to the list of eligible items under an FSA, certain HRAs, and HSAs.
The law is retroactive, such that any qualified OTC purchase since January 1, 2020 can be reimbursed through these pre-tax funds. No end date has been given at this time.
Meteorologists are predicting a severe allergy season for 2020. Due to a mild winter in many areas, the season is expected to extend much longer, starting almost six weeks early. Beyond that, above normal rainfall combined with average temperatures has led to high pollen production.
Nationwide, most areas will experience near record pollen counts this year, with the east coast expected to be hit the hardest. Experts predict that pollen levels will remain unusually high through the summer months.
Triple Allergy Defense provides fast-acting symptom relief for pollen, mold and dust
– all in one bottle.
“This really works for my son’s allergies! We’ve gone through many unsuccessful bottles of Zyrtec, Xyzal, nasal sprays and more. His allergies were severe enough to cause him hearing loss, speech delays, and sinus infections. We started using Triple Allergy Defense twice a day and noticed within 2 weeks he was breathing clear, sniffles were gone. Now it is peak allergy season and he is breathing clear every day. This is the Only thing that has worked!!” —Jonathan, New York

While there is much focus on the coronavirus pandemic, please be aware that influenza is still very prevalent in the U.S. with 48 states reporting widespread activity. Stress weakens our immune system which is vital to combat these viruses. A few tips to keep in mind:
• De-stress – meditate, laugh, exercise, disconnect from the news for periods of time. Whatever works and incorporate into your daily routine.
• Connect – stay connected with family and friends to give and receive support and comfort.
• Sunshine – get a natural dose of Vitamin D by taking a walk or relaxing outside, especially those fortunate to have early spring weather.
Continue your weekly flu regimen. We are working diligently to keep Triple Flu Defense 2019-2020 in stock during this intense and lengthy season and will continue to do so.

The flu season is still going strong with widespread activity reported in 48 states and Puerto Rico. The good news is outpatient doctor visits for flu-like illness have declined over the last two weeks. Of concern though is hospitalizations continue to increase and rates for children 0-4 years old are now the highest the CDC has on record at this point in the flu season. The efficacy of the flu vaccine can diminish monthly leaving people more vulnerable later in the season.
Tree pollen is in full bloom in the southern United States, coastal California, and moving north. Grasses are also beginning to emerge in these areas, with particularly heavy loads throughout the state of Florida, adding to pollen levels and allergy symptoms. Seattle Washington was reported with the highest pollen count at this time.

Influenza indicators are on the rise for the third consecutive week signifying that despite an early start we are from the end of the flu season.
• Widespread flu activity reported in 48 states and Puerto Rico.
• Influenza A/H1N1 and Influenza B/Victoria are co-circulating, impacting different age groups and geographic regions, contributing to the length of the season.
• Hospitalizations rates for children and young adults are higher than recent seasons; those who suffer from asthma are at greater risk.
With widespread cases and multiple strains still circulating, stay diligent with your flu regimen, especially when traveling.
“I have been using your products for years.
Thank goodness you are around.”
—Hilda, Florida 1/14/20
Peak flu season continues with widespread
influenza reported in 49 states.
• Outpatient visits for influenza like illness and
hospitalizations both increased over the last week.
• Influenza A (primarily H1N1) and Influenza B
• Children and young adults (<25 years)
account for over 50% of influenza positive test results from public health laboratories this
season (predominantly Influenza B).
The flu vaccine does not appear to be a good match for the Influenza B strain.
The duration of this unusual flu season is still
uncertain given that these two strains are both circulating across the country.
Triple Flu Defense 2019-2020 has been effective for both stomach and
respiratory flu symptoms.
“I’ve used Triple Flu Defense for many years. Love it!”
—Jennifer, North Carolina 1/20/20
The flu is at peak levels throughout the U.S. with widespread activity reported now in 46 states. Doctor visits for influenza like illness rose dramatically over the last week.
Influenza B is responsible for 68% of flu cases. This strain has been impacting children and young adults, but in the last few weeks there has been an uptick in adult cases. Symptoms of this B strain include fever, chills, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
Influenza A has started to grow more strongly in the north and is moving southward bringing a second surge in flu activity. This H1N1 strain presents more typical symptoms of fever, aches, sore throat, cough and fatigue.
Immunity from one strain does not provide protection against others, so one can be ill multiple times during the flu season. If you are experiencing flu symptoms, immediately start Triple Flu Defense 3 times per day.
“Thank goodness for Triple Flu Defense!”
